Conan O'Brien has been announced as the host of the 2014 MTV Movie Awards.
"After eight years of intense negotiations, I am honored to announce I am hosting MTV's second most prestigious awards show," O'Brien said in a written statement.
The late-night host, 50, has become a favorite of MTV's millennial audience through the expansive digital and social presence that his self-titled TBS show has built in recent years.
This news comes ahead of the nominations announcement set for Thursday, March 6.
The 2014 MTV Movie Awards airs Sunday, April 13, at 9 p.m. ET/PT from Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre L.A. Live.
